I am a seasoned creative director, visual designer, and marketer who brings an easy alliance to clients and colleagues. I strive to create thoughtful designs that help entrepreneurs and established companies alike, find success with their visual identity and brand, allowing them to move forward in the marketplace with confidence.
I’ve worked both as an employee for several well-known companies and independently running my own business. Both instances bring their unique joys but the one thing shared in common is the fresh inspiration that spurs excitement for both myself, my colleagues, and clients. I love that!
I received an art education at the Clark University School at the Worcester Art Museum where I completed traditional courses in color theory, art history, visual design and studies, and black and white photography. Afterwards, I went for an A.S. in business technology from Mount Wachusett Community College. There, I discovered a love for writing and spreadsheets.
My career began first as a junior designer learning the ropes of meshing creative expression and business objectives. I eventually moved on to a number of high-level design positions in and around Boston. Soon after, I took everything I learned and launched Dan Christianson Design. What I found waiting for me was an incredible journey of satisfying project work (and yes, a whole lot more learning) spanning industries I’m grateful to have worked in. Truly exciting!
I find my inspiration in crisp neutrals and bold colors. In the perfectly executed typeface and the right amount of white space. I find it in imagery that makes me take pause just to take it in. Sometimes it’s the clouds in my coffee, other times, in the blue sky. But always, I find inspiration in humor.
When I’m not designing, I can often be found working out, spending quality time with family and friends, dreaming of traveling, enjoying photography, or exploring the beauty of Provincetown and Cape Cod.
